Many of you may be aware from my Facebook page that my mother, Margaret Rose, suffered a terrible stroke on December 28th. Currently she has been left with the inability to swallow (leaving her on a feeding tube), and is also unable to speak, read, or communicate and is often in pain.
I am writing this post for a few reasons. The first is to let the readers of Grow in Virtue know that for the time being, I will be focusing all of my attention on her care and hopeful recovery, and that my ability to post new articles will be minimal and far less frequent.
Also, I am asking that as my friends, will you please pray for my mother in her time of need. Prayers are needed desperately, as one of the doctors initially explained that she may not recover. And I will not give up hope.
Third, it was my original plan to release my book, “The Quest for Virtue,” after the new year, making it available to the readers through a Kickstarter campaign and then eventually on Amazon. I have decided to put those plans on hold, as I can’t consider doing that while my mother is fighting for her life. With that said, I am going to delay the release of my book indefinitely, until I have helped my mother become more stable. I will let everyone know in time, when the book release plans resume.
Thank you for all of your support, prayers and sacrifices. Please feel free to contact me through the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org, if you have any questions or also if you have had a loved one who has suffered a stroke and may have advice for me. I need all the help I can get. I may be a bit slow to respond to emails, but please be assured that I am reading them all and will respond as soon as I am able.
Thank you and God bless you all.
